CS:GO is the top game watched on Twitch.tv and it by far exceeds even such popular games as Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds and LoL. The explanation is quite simple: PGL Krakow Major 2017 – the key CS:GO event – is being held this week.
According to Esports Charts, the tournament was watched by over 1.3 mln people on July 18. The match between G2 Esports and Cloud 9 became the most popular one.
However, we should also note that these figures are relevant only if the Chinese region is taken into account. Otherwise, views of the rest of the world will amount to around 671 000. It will also put the tournament between G2 and C9 on the fifth place.
Anyway, the rating is impressive. Russian streamings alone were watched by almost 106 500 people. It is also notable that if the Chinese audience is not taken into account, the match between Gambit and Virtus.pro attracted the greatest attention among the international CS:GO community.
